Training

Jack was raised in the central valley of California. There he was exposed to the Spanish discipline of horsemanship. After starting a family he apprenticed for four years under the tutelage of Hall of Fame trainer, Greg Ward. Learning the skills necessary to develop the young horse into the proficient cow horse became his passion. That passion has persisted now for over 30 years. Whether using horses for general ranch work or preparing them for cuttings or reined cow horse shows, the method has remained the same. Time and patience combined with the vaquero's attitude that there is always a "mañana" produce the finest cow horse.
